Today, Kiel\u2019s State Secretary Guido Wendt (second from right) and Member of State Parliament Anette R\u00f6ttger (second from left) came to the University of L\u00fcbeck and visited our Institute of Medical Psychology (IMP). At the IMP, research is conducted, among other things, on how good communication works: What should future doctors keep in mind so that their patients feel well cared for? The findings then feed into teaching, prevention, and therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Ulrike Kr\u00e4mer (left), Prof. Sarah Jessen (center), and Vice President Prof. Thomas M\u00fcnte (right) also presented the individual research areas. At the \u201cBabylab,\u201d for example, researchers study how babies and young children perceive and explore the world around them. For these studies, EEG caps\u2014like the ones shown in the photo\u2014are among the tools used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
